Scope of this privacy policy

This privacy policy applies only to the actions of Will Writing Masterclass and Users with respect to this Website. It does not extend to any websites that can be accessed from this Website including, but not limited to, any links we may provide to social media websites.

For purposes of the applicable Data Protection Laws, Will Writing Masterclass is the "data controller". This means that Will Writing Masterclass determines the purposes for which, and the manner in which, your Data is processed.

In some situations users may provide us with personal information without us asking for it, or through means not intended for the collection of particular types of information. Whilst we may take reasonable steps to protect this data, the user will have bypassed our systems, processes, and control and thus the information provided will not be governed by this privacy policy.

In some instances, users may provide us personal information over platforms that are outside our control; for example through social media or forums. Whilst any information collected by us is governed by this Privacy Policy, the platform by which it was communicated will be governed by its own Privacy Policy.

Data You Provide to Us

Will Writing Masterclass through its Website will collect your Data from or about you depending on how you use our Services. Below are some examples to help you better understand the data we collect.

When you create an account and use the Services, including through a third-party platform, we collect any data you provide directly, including:

Account Data

When you register with us and set up an account in order to use certain features or receive our products and services. When you create or update your account, we collect and store the data you provide like your email address, password, gender, and date of birth and assign you a unique identifying number (“Account Data”).

Profile Data

You can also choose to provide profile information like a photo, headline, website link, social media profiles, location, physical address, time zone, or other data. Your Profile Data will be publicly viewable by others. 

Shared Content

Parts of the Services let you interact with other users or share content publicly, including by posting reviews, contract or job descriptions and attachments, asking or answering questions, sending messages to other users, or posting photos and videos or other work you upload. Such shared content may be publicly viewable by other depending on where it is posted.  

 

Users Payment Data

If you make purchases, we collect certain data about your purchase such as your name as necessary to process your order. You must provide certain payment and billing data directly to our payment processing partners, including your name, credit card information, billing address and postal or zip code. For security, Will Writing Masterclass does not collect or store sensitive cardholder data, such as full credit card numbers or card authentication data.

When you link a payment account, we collect and use certain information including your payment account email address, account ID, physical address or other data necessary for us to process your order or issue refunds. In order to comply with applicable laws, we also work with trusted third parties who collect tax information as legally required. This tax information may include residency information, tax identification numbers, biographical information and other personal information necessary for taxation purposes. For security, we do not collect or store sensitive bank account information. The collection, use and disclosure of your payment, billing and taxation date is subject to the privacy policy and other terms of your payment account provider.

We may obtain certain information through your social media or other online accounts if they are connected to your Website account. If you login via google, facebook, or another third-party platform or service, we ask for your permission to access certain information about the other account. For example, depending on the platform or service we may collect you name, profile picture, account ID number, login email address, location, physical location of your access devices, gender, birthday and list of friends or contacts.

Those platforms and services make information available to us through their APIs. The information we receive depends on what information you (via your privacy settings) or the platform or service decide to give us.

If you access or use our Service through a third-party platform or service, or click on any third-party links, the collection, use and sharing of your data will also be subject to the privacy policies and other agreements of that third party.

 

Sweepstakes, Promotions and Surveys

We may invite you to complete a survey or participate in a promotion like a contest, sweepstakes or challenge, either through the Services or a third-party platform. If you participate, we will collect and store the data you provide as part of participating such as your name, email address, date of birth or contact number (mobile or telephone). In order to deliver certain products or services we may passively collect your GPS coordinates, where available from your device. Most modern devices such as smartphones will display a permission request when our platform requests this data.

How We Get a Data About You

Changes of business ownership and control

Will Writing Masterclass may, from time to time, expand or reduce our business and this may involve the sale and/or the transfer of control of all or part of Will Writing Masterclass. Data retention

Unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law, we will only hold your Data on our systems for the period necessary to fulfil the purposes outlined in this privacy policy or until you request that the Data be deleted.

Even if we delete your Data, it may persist on backup or archival media for legal, tax or regulatory purposes.

Transfers outside the European Economic Area

For example, this could occur if our servers are located in a country outside the EEA or one of our service providers is situated in a country outside the EEA.  We also share information with our group companies, some of which are located outside the EEA.

Accessing, Updating, and Deleting Your Personal Data

You can access and update your personal data that Will Writing Masterclass collects and maintains as follows:

Please note that even after your account is terminated, some or all of your data may still be visible to others, including but without limitation to any data that has been (a) copied, stored, or disseminated by other users (including in tutorial’s lesson comment or feedback/review); (b) shared or disseminated by you or others (including in your shared content); or (c) posted to a third-party platform. Even after your account is terminated, we retain your data for as long as we have a legitimate purpose to do so and in accordance with applicable law, including to assist with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. We may retain and disclose such data pursuant to this Privacy Policy after your account has been terminated.

 

Our Policy Concerning Minor Children

We recognize the privacy interests of children and encourage parents and guardians to take an active role in their children’s online activities and interests. Children under 13 (or under 16 in the European Economic Area) should not use the Services. If we learn that we’ve collected personal data from a child under those ages, we will take reasonable steps to delete it.

If you live in Australia, you have the right to make a formal complaint with the appropriate government agency. Most importantly, per the CCPA, Will Writing Masterclass does not sell your personal information or the personal information of any of our users.

Since the internet industry is still working on Do Not Track standards, solutions, and implementations, we do not currently recognize or respond to browser-initiated Do Not Track signals.

II.             Users in Nevada

III.            Users in Australia

IV.            Users Outside of the U.S.

If you are using the Services from outside the United States, you consent to the transfer, storage, and processing of your data in and to the United States or other countries. Specifically, personal data collected in the United Kingdom (“UK”), Switzerland, and the European Economic Area (“EEA”) is transferred and stored outside those areas. Additionally, if you are located in the UK, EEA, or Switzerland, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your data supervisory authority.

That data is also processed outside of the UK, Switzerland, and the EEA by us, or our service providers, including to process transactions, facilitate payments, and provide support services. We have entered into data processing agreements with our service providers that restrict and regulate their processing of your data on our behalf. Updates 

When we make a material change to this policy, we’ll notify our users via email, in-product notice, or another mechanism required by law. Changes become effective the day they’re posted. Please contact us via email for any questions, concerns or disputes.

From time to time, we may update this Privacy Policy. If we make any material change to it, we will notify you via email, through a notification posted on the Services, or as required by applicable law. We will also include a summary of the key changes.
